QLS OPERATES A QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN COMPLIANCE WITH: BS EN ISO 9001:2008
QLS has achieved Safecontractor accreditation for 2016. This followed an assessment of our Health & Safety documentation to ensure that we comply with the Safecontractor Charter Standards.
QLS has recently been selected as one of the two companies that are to provide rework, inspection and retrofit activities for GM Ellesmere Port.
This has been a fantastic effort by not only the management team but from the support we have had, particularly from our colleagues at GM Luton where the good work during the Vivaro launch re enforced the abilities of our business to GM Europe’s management.
This good work has been reinforced by our newly formed team in Ellesmere Port led by Ray Jones with support from Tina Sweeting.
BSI have recently renewed QLS's ISO 9001:2008 certificate for a further three years following a faultless audit.
In an increasing difficult environment to find good engineers at prices that suppliers wish to contract out to, QLS have taken the step to start an apprentice scheme in conjunction with Semta. Semta is the Sector Skills Council for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering. Our first new apprentice will be based at Ford Dagenham and attend Havering College of Further and Higher Education. We wish Jack Thomas well in his endeavours.
QLS has opened a new 5000sqft facility for storage, sub-assembly, rework and inspection in the North West of England.

QLS provides manufacturers with temporary or permanent quality engineering solutions to their processing or system concerns. Assistance and guidance with processing issues, training of shop floor staff are all part of the QLS service.
QLS engineers can help to develop supply chains or run timing projects, however large or complex, and to bring them to a timely conclusion. We can help in supplier selection and in their training and development in line with your working practices.
When you are involved in new product launches QLS can assist you by controlling your supply chain on technical and timing matters until product launch. Starting with APQP, we work with your team to ensure timely PPAP on incoming components and PSW of your own parts.
Quality System Design and Implementation
QLS engineers design and implement quality systems, manuals and instruction literature to ISO9001, ISO14001 and TS16949. The skill sets are available to train all of your staff in the new procedures, and bring your new system to approval by the authorities.
Retro-Fits and Safety Campaigns
Over the past ten years QLS have been involved in numerous retro fit and safety campaigns which have seen us provide engineering teams across the globe to support OEMs and tier one suppliers mainly at sea ports and at OEM facilities, although occasionally at the end customer. These campaigns have ranged from major engine component change to re flash activities (QLS have a number of our own CAN devices) through to minor fit and finish issues.
